New Drivetrain

Low mileage LS1 that will soon find its way into the S2000

Cleaned the motor up a little by installing some shaved valve covers, painted intake, and LS6 Clutch Kit

T56 from D&D Performance. Upgraded Synchros and Shift Forks/Pads

Diff from an 03 Cobra, currently has a 3.55 gear. The gear may be changed in the future but woud like to try this out first.

Out with the Old

Pulled the F20c and trans, along with cutting out the support that goes in front of the motor. This will be replaced later on the a more compact design in a farther forward location

I am wanting to have a super clean engine bay, so I have boxed in the tops of the frame rails and I am filling all the extra holes on the firewall. In the end everything will be smooth and color matched to the exterior of the car.

Soft top is officially gone and the hardtop will be securely mounted at (almost) all times.

With the addition of double the power and tripple the torque in stock form, the LS1 is going to require a beffier diff than the stock S2K diff. I chose to go with a Ford 8.8 IRS from an 03 Cobra. Mounting this in an ideal position requires removal of the stock tank. I added a 10 gallon fuel cell to the rear of the car

Getting Started

I purchased this 2000 Honda S2000 with the main goal of swapping an LS1 into it. During the first few months I just wanted to drive the car and make sure everything was in good working order before doing the swap. But I couldnt resist modding the car during this time.

First on the list of mods was a set of 05 STI Wheels and H&R Coilovers. Stoptech Rotors and Pads were also added.

I plan on adding a cage in the future and had a buyer for my stock interior. I purchased a pair of Cobeau Forza Seats and an NRG Deep Dish Steering Wheel with Quick Release Hub to replace the stock items.

With the addition of a cage in the future, removing the soft top and going with a hardtop will make for more headroom. I opted for a VIS Mugen Style top in Carbon Fiber.
